PSG Hopeful: Dembélé to Return for Arsenal Clash
Paris Saint-Germain confirmed that Ousmane Dembélé will miss the match against Strasbourg due to injury.
Paris Saint-Germain released a medical report stating that Ousmane Dembélé has suffered a right hamstring strain. The French star scored the opening goal in PSG’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals but was substituted in the second half due to muscle discomfort.
According to the club’s official report, while Dembélé will miss this week’s match against Strasbourg, his condition is improving, and he may be available for the second leg against Arsenal next Wednesday. PSG’s medical team emphasized that a final assessment will be made in the coming days.
Paris Saint-Germain’s official statement read: “Ousmane Dembélé has suffered a right hamstring strain. His condition is progressing well. Further evaluations will be conducted soon.”
Ousmane Dembélé, with 21 goals in 28 matches, leads the Ligue 1 scoring charts and has been a key player for Luis Enrique’s team this season.
With only three matches remaining in the season, Dembélé holds a narrow lead over Mason Greenwood of Marseille (18 goals) and Jonathan David of Lille (16 goals) in the race for the Ligue 1 Golden Boot.
Given Dembélé’s outstanding performances this season and his decisive role in PSG’s successes, his potential return for the crucial match against Arsenal would be excellent news for the Parisian club’s fans.
