Romário: I Want Carlo Ancelotti to Coach Brazil
Romário, the former Brazilian football star, expressed his hope that Carlo Ancelotti will take charge of the Brazilian national team.
According to reports, Romário recently spent several hours in Madrid and visited the Legends Museum at the La Liga headquarters. The visit, widely covered on social media, included discussions about the possibility of Ancelotti coaching the Brazil national team.
The former Brazilian star said: “Yes, I like Carlito. He is one of the best coaches in the world and has proven it at every club he has been with, especially Real Madrid. If the president of the Brazilian Football Federation chooses him, I will be very happy and welcome his arrival.”
During the visit, Romário became emotional upon seeing his jersey from the 1994 World Cup displayed in the museum: “That trophy was very special for our generation of Brazilians because, after 24 years—since 1970—without a title, we won it again. It was a historic moment for our country. For me, that year was the most amazing of my life.”
At a private event hosted by the Legends Museum in collaboration with La Liga, Romário shared his experience: “It was an honor to be in such a space among football legends. Anyone who comes here will be impressed, just as I was. This is the history of world football.”
When asked about current Brazilian players who might soon have their jerseys displayed in the legends section, Romário replied: “I can’t name just one player. Endrick, Vinícius, Rodrygo, Raphinha… I hope more players enter this legendary space.”
