Ruben Amorim’s Negative Response to a Manchester United Fan’s Interesting Request!
Ruben Amorim had an interesting reaction to a fan’s request to sign a star from Ligue 1.
According to reports, Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, had a unique reaction to a transfer-related suggestion from a fan before the second leg of the Europa League semifinal against Athletic Bilbao at Old Trafford.
Following the Red Devils’ 3-0 victory in the first leg at Athletic Bilbao’s home, they are now on the verge of reaching the final on May 21. Amorim and his players arrived early at the stadium, and while signing autographs and taking photos with fans, one supporter made an interesting proposal to him.
The fan, who appeared to be French, asked Amorim to bring Ryan Cherki, the Lyon star who shone in the Europa League quarterfinals, to Manchester United. He said: “Ruben, we want Ryan Cherki in Manchester.”
Amorim’s response was simple and brief; while continuing to sign autographs, he said: “No!”
Amorim was also asked to bring back Victor Gyokeres, his former striker at Sporting Lisbon, but he did not react to this request.
Cherki, the French international, scored two goals in Lyon’s 7-6 aggregate defeat to Manchester United and is reportedly a target for both United and Liverpool.
