Saudi Sports Minister’s Order
Huge Bonus for Al-Ahli’s Asian Champions League Victory
By order of the Saudi Sports Minister, each Al-Ahli player will receive a bonus of 200,000 Saudi Riyals for winning the AFC Champions League.
According to reports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Minister of Sports, has ordered that each Al-Ahli player receive 200,000 Saudi Riyals as a reward for winning the AFC Champions League.
The Sports Minister had previously awarded a 100,000 Riyal cash bonus when Al-Ahli defeated Al-Hilal in the semifinals. This amount is in addition to the $10 million championship prize, bringing the total bonuses received by Al-Ahli players to 300,000 Riyals.
Al-Ahli managed to secure the AFC Champions League title, which they had been deprived of twice before, and thus joined Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal in the list of clubs that have won the Asian championship.
As a result, Al-Ahli Saudi Arabia’s participation in the Club World Cup for the first time has been confirmed.
