Schalke’s dissatisfaction: Loris Karius is not the solution!
Schalke is unhappy with Loris Karius’ situation, and he is set to leave the club.
According to reports, while Schalke is ending the season poorly, planning for the next season is in full swing behind the scenes.
One of the key issues? Goalkeeping plans! In recent years, Schalke’s first-choice goalkeeper has changed almost more frequently than tariff adjustments during Donald Trump’s presidency, but this trend is expected to end.
Loris Karius, who signed a six-month contract in the winter and suffered an injury after four matches, will not stay with the team. There are serious doubts within the club about his ability to maintain physical fitness over a full season due to his lack of playing time in recent years.
Karius has recently been able to put aside his special footwear after a shin injury but is still not ready to return to training. Club officials now believe he may even miss the start of pre-season training.
Result: The club’s technical staff are looking to sign a new first-choice goalkeeper. If a suitable option is found, Karius will be informed that his collaboration with the club has come to an end. However, a final decision is not expected soon, as the new head coach, who is set to be appointed by the end of May, must also approve this decision.
