Secret Return to Munich: The End of Bayern Players’ Vacation (Photos)
Bayern Munich players secretly returned to Germany on a private flight after celebrating their Bundesliga title in Spain.
According to reports, after 45 hours of celebration on the island of Ibiza, 14 Bayern Munich players returned to Munich on Tuesday evening.
Per Bild, at 11:06 AM local time, a group including Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, Harry Kane, and Joshua Kimmich boarded a private Embraer ERJ-135LR jet owned by Air Charters Europe from Ibiza to Munich.
The flight landed at Munich Airport at 12:59 PM. Just six minutes later, the first players disembarked. The stars, keeping their distance from the runway, directly boarded two tinted-window minibuses heading to the training camp. The intense heat on the tarmac under the sun was noticeable.
Alongside the four familiar stars—Neuer, Müller, Kane, and Kimmich—other figures such as Eric Dier, Raphaël Guerreiro, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, Konrad Laimer, Dayot Upamecano, Josip Stanišić, Alexander Pavlović, reserve goalkeeper Sven Ulreich, and team manager Samuel Galle were also part of the trip.
After landing in Ibiza, Bayern stars partied at the luxurious Blue Marlin beach club on Sunday afternoon. Later that night, they attended the famous Pacha nightclub. For Gnabry, Laimer, and Upamecano, the celebration lasted until 5:30 AM!
On Monday, Leon Goretzka posted a photo of his workout session with Pavlović and Stanišić on social media, showing that even during a vacation, training wasn’t forgotten.
Bayern is now back in Munich. According to the schedule, promotional activities will take place at the Säbener Straße training complex on Tuesday afternoon. New head coach Vincent Kompany has scheduled the first training session for Wednesday evening.
