Serious Blow to Tottenham: Season Over for Maddison!
It appears that James Maddison’s injury is serious, and there is a high probability that his season has come to an end.
According to reports, Maddison started in Tottenham’s 3-1 victory over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League but was forced off due to a knee injury. Following him, Dominic Solanke also suffered an injury, and both players were left out of Tottenham’s squad for Sunday’s Premier League match against West Ham.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou provided an update on the two players: “We are relatively hopeful about Solanke because his condition is improving day by day, but there was no reason to bring him into today’s game. There is more concern regarding Maddison until we receive further updates. His situation is more worrying.”
Tottenham, after a convincing win in the first leg against Bodo/Glimt, has high hopes of reaching the Europa League final. However, Maddison’s absence would be a significant blow to the team’s midfield. If his injury proves severe, the 2024-25 season could be over for the English international.
