Strike Leaves Barcelona Fans Stranded in Milan!
Italian rail transport companies have decided to go on strike on the day of Barcelona’s match against Inter in Milan.
According to reports, Barcelona will face Inter Milan on Tuesday in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals, with over four thousand Barcelona fans expected to travel to the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.
However, the enthusiasm to support Hansi Flick’s team may be dampened by a widespread strike affecting Milan’s metro and train services, posing a serious threat to internal transport in Italy.
This strike, called by a broad coalition of unions, will impact services from companies such as Trenitalia, Trenord, Trenitalia Tper, and other rail transport operators. The strike will last for eight hours, from 9 AM to 5 PM on Tuesday, May 6—coinciding exactly with the semifinal match.
Trenitalia has warned that the strike will involve all operational staff, including drivers, train crews, and infrastructure workers, and disruptions may occur before and after the official strike period. While regional trains will not have guaranteed schedules during the strike, Trenitalia has published a list of guaranteed services for national and intercity high-speed trains on its official website and app.
Barcelona and even Inter fans are expected to face significant transport challenges, making for a difficult night in Milan.
