For a Charity Match
Toni Kroos Returns to the Bernabéu in a Real Madrid Jersey!
Toni Kroos, the former star of the German national team, will once again wear the Real Madrid jersey at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
According to reports, Kroos, who retired from football after the European Championship last summer, announced on his social media that he will participate in a charity match organized by the Real Madrid Foundation.
The match will take place on Saturday, June 7, between former Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund players. Kroos wrote on his Instagram account: “Bernabéu, see you again.”
In this charity match, alongside Toni Kroos, other Real Madrid legends such as Pepe, Iker Casillas, and Marcelo will also participate. From the German side, players like Éverton, Kevin Großkreutz, Roman Weidenfeller, and Lucas Barrios will take the field.
Toni Kroos’ last match at the Santiago Bernabéu was in the final week of last season’s La Liga against Real Betis. In that match, the German midfielder experienced one of the most emotional and grand tributes in the history of the Chamartín Stadium. The entire crowd stood and applauded him for 10 minutes, creating a memorable moment.
