Tractor awaits the signing of Skocic’s favorite
Mehdi Shiri will not have a contract with Tractor for the next season.
According to “Varzesh3”, the Tractor team won the Iranian Premier League title while their squad for the next season is almost complete, and only two or three players do not have a contract with the team for the new season, one of whom is Mehdi Shiri.
Shiri, who has only played in five matches for Tractor this season, also replaced Mehdi Torabi yesterday to remain a trusted figure on Dragan Skocic’s bench.
Interestingly, Shiri has played more than 50 matches for Tractor in the past two seasons and is therefore considered one of the experienced players of the Tabriz-based team. Skocic himself mentioned in an interview that this player is a favorite member of his squad, indicating the Croatian coach’s special interest in him.
Tractor Club has expressed their initial offer to Shiri, but naturally, negotiating this player’s contract will be time-consuming, and perhaps better offers will also come to this player, who has championship experience with Persepolis, Esteghlal, and Tractor.
However, he, Aref Aghasi, and Sajjad Ashouri are the only players whose contracts with Tractor have expired, and Tractor can, with some flexibility, keep these players to maintain the stability of the champion team.
