Al-Ittihad secured a 3-0 victory over Al-Fayha in the 32nd round of the Saudi Pro League, bringing Laurent Blanc’s team closer to confirming their league title this season.

Unai Hernandez, who joined the team from Barcelona in January, spoke about playing alongside Karim Benzema: “Whether with Benzema or other teammates, we train together, play together, and work together. There’s an incredible harmony between us, and our cooperation is improving. I’m happy to have assisted a goal tonight.”

The former Barcelona player also admitted that his physical condition, which had weakened during his transfer from La Masia, has improved since joining Al-Ittihad.

He said: “My physical condition needed improvement. When I arrived here, I worked hard. I was thin and weak, lacking physical strength. Now, with work at home and the gym, I’ve gotten better, and I will definitely continue this process.”

Regarding Al-Ittihad’s potential championship, Unai added: “We are very close to the title now, and we are thinking about the next match to confirm it and become champions.”

Al-Ittihad needs to win one of their next three matches, starting with the upcoming game against Al-Raed, to secure the Saudi Pro League title.
