Vincent Kompany, in his first year at Bayern Munich, won the Bundesliga title and thanked his players and fans after this achievement.
Bayern Munich’s head coach spoke about his emotions and this great honor after the club’s 34th Bundesliga title.
In a statement released by the club, he said: “Now is the time to enjoy winning the Bundesliga. What an unbelievable feeling! I congratulate the players for their outstanding performance throughout the season. You achieved this success together. You won this title as a team!”
For the 39-year-old Belgian coach, who replaced Thomas Tuchel, this is his first major title as a manager. He added: “We must continue to work hard. The season is not over yet, and there is still a lot to be excited about. Let’s finish this season strongly together.” Kompany likely referred to the upcoming Club World Cup in his remarks.
At the end of his statement, Kompany had a message for Bayern fans: “Finally, a big thank you to all Bayern fans around the world for your support. You have been amazing.”
