Warning: Do Not Go to Welcome or Send-off Barcelona!
Valladolid police will escort Barcelona’s team to their hotel today and have also issued a warning to the club’s fans.
According to reports, police advised Barcelona fans on Friday not to go to Valladolid Airport today to welcome or send off the Barcelona football team. The team will be transferred directly from the airport tarmac to their bus, and there will be no opportunity to meet the players.
Joaquín Canales, the government representative in Valladolid, announced this news.
According to sources from the representative office, construction work at the airport parking lot and a ban on parking vehicles around it have severely restricted access to the airport.
Local police will escort Barcelona’s team to their hotel in Arroyo de la Encomienda (Valladolid). The national police will also be responsible for transporting the team to the stadium and accompanying them back to the airport for their return to Barcelona.
Representatives from the national police, municipal police, private security forces, and club officials attended this meeting. Due to the anticipated large turnout of spectators and a planned gathering by the Real Valladolid fan federation before the match—given the local team’s current situation—security measures have been intensified.
The representative office warned that, given the possibility of protesters distributing graphic materials, throwing any objects, including paper, from the stands onto the field could result in fines of up to €3,000 under the law against violence in sports.
