An Argentine and Two Former Barcelona Coaches as Xabi Alonso’s Right-Hand Men
Real Madrid’s Concern: Two Former Barcelona Coaches in Xabi Alonso’s Staff!
Xabi Alonso is bringing three members of his Bayer Leverkusen coaching staff to Real Madrid: an Argentine and two former Barcelona coaches.
According to reports, Marca has revealed new details about Xabi Alonso’s coaching staff at Real Madrid. While the final staff is not yet confirmed and minor changes may occur, the core of his team is already set.
The report states that Xabi will bring three of his colleagues from Bayer Leverkusen to Real Madrid. These individuals were his key assistants in Germany.
One concern for some Real Madrid fans is that while one of the three is Argentine (which is not an issue), the other two have official ties to Barcelona, which has raised eyebrows among Madridistas.
Sebas Parrilla: He is Xabi’s right-hand man and steps in when Alonso is suspended or unable to be on the sidelines. Parrilla, born in Argentina, has been with Xabi since his time at Real Sociedad. Parrilla and Xabi moved together to Real Madrid.
Alberto Encinas: The 43-year-old Catalan assistant, who was the third assistant at Leverkusen. He began coaching in small Catalan teams but joined Barcelona in 2018, even assisting García Pimienta at Barcelona B. He moved to Leverkusen in 2021 and worked under Gerardo Seoane. When Seoane was dismissed and Xabi took over, Encinas continued working with his compatriot.
Ismael Camenforte López: The 40-year-old fitness coach. He started his career at Barcelona B, assisting Domènec Torrent. Ismael later worked in New York and Denmark before joining Leverkusen in 2021. He has become a close friend of Xabi and will follow him to Real Madrid.
