    Bayern’s Manager Doesn’t Know What He’s Doing!

Lothar Matthäus, a German football legend and Sky Sports pundit, criticized Bayern Munich’s management for their contradictory stance on allowing players to travel to Ibiza.

    Bayern's Manager Doesn't Know What He's Doing!

According to reports, this situation resembles a scene from a Louis de Funès film, but in reality, it describes Bayern Munich’s management strategy regarding players’ request for a short trip to Ibiza as a reward for winning the Bundesliga—even though the season isn’t over yet.

The players’ plan for this trip was initially rejected by Max Eberl, Bayern’s sporting director, before the away match against Leipzig. However, after a 2-0 victory over Gladbach, he ultimately approved the trip. On Sunday, thirteen players from the Bundesliga-winning team flew from Munich to Ibiza on a private jet.

Lothar Matthäus Doesn’t Understand This Decision!

The former German national team player wrote in his Sky Sports column: “Three years ago, Bayern players traveled to Ibiza after an early title win, even though the season wasn’t over. The current trip to Ibiza is even worse in my opinion, as the club had banned it just last week.”

Matthäus specifically criticized Max Eberl’s role, writing: “Max Eberl had said the players should focus on their main job. But what was forbidden last week has now been approved by the management. I know players have the right to celebrate and haven’t had many holidays, but they should also understand how this trip looks from the outside. He himself doesn’t know what he’s doing.”

Eberl had previously given positive signals about contract extensions for Thomas Müller and Leroy Sané but later had to backtrack on his statements.
