Ticket purchase for staff
Amorim compensates for Manchester United owner’s stinginess!
Ruben Amorim, Manchester United’s head coach, has personally covered the travel expenses for 30 members of his technical staff and their families to attend the Europa League final against Tottenham.
According to reports, the coaching and support staff who regularly travel with the team, including logistics personnel, did not receive free tickets for family or friends to attend the May 21 match at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao. Both Manchester United and Tottenham have approximately 15,000 tickets each for the final.
Tottenham has decided to provide free tickets to all full-time staff, while Manchester United has only allocated a limited number for an internal staff lottery. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain has gifted 600 staff members tickets for the Champions League final in Munich.
Staff unable to travel to Spain have been invited to a group screening event at Old Trafford, where they will receive two free drinks. However, any accompanying guests must pay for their own expenses.
The Portuguese coach, who has endured a turbulent period at Manchester United, informed club executives that he would personally cover the ticket costs. This decision came after it was revealed that staff were expected to pay for their own tickets, sparking anger among them.
However, some club sources emphasize that priority was given to Manchester United fans, with 90% of the club’s ticket allocation going to supporters eligible for the public lottery.
