Patrice Evra:
Players who don’t want to die for Manchester United should leave
Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra believes players who are not willing to give their all for the club’s badge have no place at Old Trafford.
According to reports, Patrice Evra has once again spoken about various issues, this time addressing the current situation at his former club Manchester United. He believes players who are not willing to die for the club’s badge should leave.
Evra told Sky Sports about Rúben Amorim’s performance this season: “This season has been disastrous for the team, and I think Rúben Amorim himself knows this.
I met with him and saw that he is also unhappy with the situation, but his humility shows because he admits it. Honestly, I like his honesty.
During our meeting, I told him, ‘Welcome to your club,’ but he replied, ‘No, Patrice, this is your club.’ I admire his character, but it’s clear the results this season have been disastrous.”
Evra then added about the players’ situation: “We are talking about a process. This is his first year at Old Trafford, and I see a lot of progress in the team. There is a certain discipline within the team now. In my opinion, a player who doesn’t want to run and doesn’t want to die for the Manchester United badge won’t play for Manchester United and can leave the team.”
