New Rival for Taremi: Inter’s Interest in Manchester United Star
Inter Milan’s management intends to negotiate with Manchester United to sign Joshua Zirkzee.
According to reports, Zirkzee is nearing the end of a disappointing season with Manchester United. He has scored only seven goals in 48 appearances across all competitions, raising serious doubts about his future at Old Trafford.
Reports suggest that his underwhelming performance in English football could benefit Inter, allowing them to begin negotiations under favorable conditions, especially for a player who has previously proven his abilities in Serie A.
A combination of technique, physicality, and creativity makes the 23-year-old striker an ideal fit for Simone Inzaghi’s system—a versatile player who can serve as both a backup and a competitor for Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram.
Zirkzee is reportedly at the top of Inter’s summer transfer list. The Nerazzurri are also optimistic about the financial aspects of the deal, as they plan to propose a loan with an option to buy, which could become mandatory under certain conditions.
Given that Manchester United paid around €40 million to sign him from Bologna last summer, they may now be willing to sell him for a lower fee. Inter hopes his underwhelming Premier League campaign will help reduce the price.
