Strange Encounter: Sergio Conceição’s Cold Shoulder to Former Milan Captain Davide Calabria!
Sergio Conceição’s tense interaction with Davide Calabria after the Coppa Italia final has drawn significant attention.
According to reports, during the Coppa Italia trophy ceremony, a surprising scene unfolded involving a cold and tense exchange between Calabria and Conceição.
The two had a verbal altercation in January while still teammates, which quickly led to Calabria—a Milan academy graduate with over 200 appearances—leaving the club.
Calabria joined Bologna on loan, with his contract set to expire on June 30. The two faced each other again at the Stadio Olimpico, where Bologna defeated Milan 1-0 to win the Coppa Italia.
Sport Mediaset and Spazio Milan claim that when Bologna players formed a guard of honor for the defeated team to receive their silver medals, Calabria shook hands and hugged his former teammates. However, the atmosphere visibly changed when Conceição approached. He not only ignored Calabria but also avoided eye contact and quickly walked past.
Despite this, the Italian defender attempted to ease tensions with a polite gesture, placing a hand on his former coach’s shoulder as he passed. Interestingly, Calabria has won two trophies this season: first, the Supercoppa Italiana with Milan under Conceição in January, and now the Coppa Italia with Bologna.
