Warning to Bayern: Do Not Renew Sane’s Contract!

Jens Lehmann, former Germany national team goalkeeper, has warned Bayern Munich not to renew Leroy Sane’s contract.

According to “Varzesh3,” Lehmann accused the national team winger of performing better only due to ongoing negotiations for a new contract.

Leroy Sane has recently shown improved form, but some believe this is not genuine progress. The 29-year-old winger, who is reportedly negotiating a contract extension, is said to be performing better solely for financial reasons.

Sane will play a key role tonight in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Inter. Bayern, who lost the first leg 2-1, need a strong performance to advance, and Sane is expected to be a crucial player.

However, Lehmann openly advised Bayern not to renew Sane’s contract, claiming his recent efforts are purely financially motivated rather than genuine commitment. The former Germany goalkeeper said: “Renew Sane’s contract? I would never do it, not in a million years! What bothers me the most is that he’s now running twice as much, only because he’s negotiating a new deal.”

He added: “Sane is a very high-quality footballer, no doubt about it, but he rarely shows it. This is especially evident in big matches, like the one against Inter.”

Sane, who joined Bayern from Manchester City, has often been criticized for his inconsistent performances.
