The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has now acted through Diego Fernandes, a businessman who does not directly work with the federation but has close ties to the football world, especially with Brazilian managers and players.

Sources close to the matter have confirmed that negotiations with Ancelotti’s representatives are ongoing in complete secrecy, with a clear strategy: to convince the Italian coach before FIFA’s June window, allowing him to take charge of Brazil for their matches against Ecuador and Paraguay, both part of the World Cup qualifiers.

This is a top priority for Brazil, as their recent 4-1 defeat against Argentina has dealt a heavy blow to the team, and the federation is seeking a major transformation. The Brazilian national team, currently fourth in the qualifying group, has not yet secured their World Cup spot.

Ancelotti, on the other hand, denied any direct contact with the Brazilian Football Confederation in a press conference last March, shortly after the defeat to Argentina, although negotiations have so far been conducted through his representatives. Federation representatives are also convinced that this time the talks could yield results.
