Chelsea Will Not Part Ways with Caicedo
Al-Nassr’s Treasure Won’t Buy This Player!
Despite Al-Nassr’s efforts to sign Moises Caicedo, Chelsea has given a definitive response to the Saudi club.
According to reports, Al-Nassr has already begun efforts to sign several stars from European football and aims to finalize negotiations by the start of summer. One of the positions they urgently need to strengthen is defensive midfield. They have targeted Moises Caicedo, the Ecuadorian star from Chelsea, and have initiated talks with the club. Caicedo joined Chelsea in the summer of 2023 for €120 million from Brighton.
Saudi media reports that Cristiano Ronaldo is an admirer of Caicedo’s playing style and has informed Al-Nassr’s management that he would be an ideal signing for the team.
However, the English newspaper The Guardian reported that Chelsea’s management has given a definitive response to Al-Nassr’s inquiries: Caicedo is not for sale, even if you offer €150 million. This comes despite Caicedo’s current market value being estimated at around €75 million, and his performances for Chelsea failing to meet expectations.
Caicedo has a long-term contract with Chelsea. The Ecuadorian midfielder will remain a Chelsea player until the summer of 2031.
