Ten Hag’s Blow to United: Rejecting the Chance to Sign Guirassy!
Erik ten Hag, the former manager of Manchester United, decided to reject the opportunity to sign Serhou Guirassy during his time at the club.
According to reports, Manchester United has struggled with scoring in recent years, with Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee leading the team’s weak attack this season. However, they have failed to resolve the crisis, raising concerns among fans.
Guirassy, after scoring 30 goals for Stuttgart in 2024, joined Borussia Dortmund and has netted 28 goals in 40 matches this season. This could become a lasting regret for United fans.
Reports suggest that Guirassy, Dortmund’s striker, was a target for Manchester United in January 2024 under Ten Hag. However, the Dutch manager and the club’s executives decided not to activate his £17.5 million release clause, believing the fee was too high for a 27-year-old player.
During his time at Stuttgart, including a loan spell in 2022-23, Guirassy scored 44 goals in 58 matches, establishing himself as a prolific striker.
