According to reports, Al-Qadsiah defeated Al-Nassr 2-1 in the 28th round of the Saudi Pro League, officially eliminating Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates from the title race. They must now focus on securing second place.
In tonight’s match, former Barcelona and Real Madrid stars, including Nacho Fernandez and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, faced off against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr. Al-Qadsiah took the lead in the 35th minute through Al-Amar.
In the second half, Al-Nassr equalized through Sadio Mané in the 84th minute, but Aubameyang scored the winning goal just three minutes later with a header, sealing a 2-1 victory for Al-Qadsiah.
Despite relentless pressure from Al-Nassr in the final minutes, they failed to score again, suffering their fifth defeat of the season. With 57 points, they remain in third place, now under threat from Al-Ahli and Al-Qadsiah, who are just two points behind.
Meanwhile, Al-Ittihad leads the league with 65 points, followed by Al-Hilal with 61 after their recent victory.
With an eight-point gap to Al-Ittihad and only five matches remaining, Ronaldo and Al-Nassr must now focus on the AFC Champions League to salvage their disappointing season. They face Yokohama F. Marinos next week in the competition.
