Coman’s Transfer to Arsenal Gains Momentum
Bayern Star Becomes a Casualty of Wirtz’s Potential Signing
Bayern Munich is prepared to agree to Kingsley Coman’s transfer to Arsenal if a suitable offer is received.
Earlier this week, reports suggested that Arsenal had made an approach to sign Coman from Bayern Munich. Now, the German sports newspaper Bild claims that selling Coman this summer is crucial for Bayern, as his departure could provide significant financial resources to facilitate the signing of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.
It is reported that Arsenal has held preliminary talks with Coman’s representatives, though no direct discussions with the French international have taken place yet. Bild states that Bayern is willing to sell the French winger, who earns around €17 million annually and has a contract until 2027, provided a suitable offer arrives.
The Bundesliga giants aim to offload Coman to free up financial resources and wage space for Wirtz’s potential summer signing. With a market value of €35 million, Bayern could generate close to €70 million from his sale, considering wage savings.
The total cost of Wirtz’s potential transfer was revealed in another Bild report earlier this week. The German outlet claimed the entire operation would cost Bayern around €250 million, including the transfer fee and the player’s wages over a five-year period.
