Teddy Sheringham Attacks Manchester United Manager
Amorim Proves He’s Not Up to the Task at United!
Teddy Sheringham, former Manchester United star, says not all blame lies with the players and Ruben Amorim should not be considered faultless.
Despite Manchester United’s dramatic advancement to the Europa League semi-finals after overcoming Lyon, which has somewhat relieved the pressure on United’s stars, former Red Devils players still believe the club is in a major crisis.
Teddy Sheringham, former Manchester United star, criticized Ruben Amorim today. Sheringham says most pundits and former players prefer to blame the management and players, but he believes Amorim is not without fault and has failed to prove he is the right man to lead Manchester United despite having enough time.
Sheringham said:“Every time a player makes a mistake, everyone rushes to say these players aren’t good enough for Manchester United. But I ask and answer this question: Has Ruben Amorim proven he is the right man to lead United? In my opinion, not really. There are signs of progress in some areas, I admit. But overall, the team is in a major crisis—both tactically and mentally. In both cases, I don’t think the manager is blameless.”
The former United striker added:“The situation is not good at all. The same people keep repeating their mistakes in every game, but many only seem to notice the goalkeepers and constantly criticize them. My point is to see the reality and understand that when a team is in such a state, everyone is to blame—everyone who has a role at Manchester United.”
