I Owe Everything to Flick
Raphinha: I Wanted to Leave Barcelona in the Summer
Raphinha believes he is experiencing the best phase of his football career under Hans-Dieter Flick at Barcelona.
Raphinha, who scored two crucial goals in yesterday’s match against Celta Vigo, has now spoken highly of Hans-Dieter Flick, the coach who trusted him during last summer’s transfer rumors and convinced him to stay at Barcelona.
Speaking to DAZN about Flick, Raphinha said: “The truth is, he changed almost everything for me. As I mentioned in previous interviews, I was on the verge of leaving the club before the season started. The coach was instrumental in changing my decision and helping me stay at the club.”
“Flick gives me the utmost confidence to do what I want on the pitch. He has transformed everything for me. This has practically changed the course of my career. I’m having the best phase of my footballing life since I started playing, and I owe all of this to him.”
Raphinha, who has shown significant improvement under Flick, has scored 30 goals this season, making him one of the top contenders for the Ballon d’Or.
