Unexpected Departure of Paco Jémez from Ibiza!

According to “Varzesh3,” Jémez has been one of the standout coaches this season in Spain’s third division. He took charge of Ibiza for the second time, and until just over a month ago, everything was going well for the former Tractor Sazi coach.

Jémez had managed to lead Ibiza to the top of Group 2 in the league and occasionally drew attention for his press conferences. However, this Saturday, after five winless weeks and with Ibiza four points behind the league leaders, Ceuta, he dropped a bombshell.

    Paco Jémez’s Resignation

With his usual bluntness, Jémez announced that he had offered his resignation to the club: “Given this poor run—five games without a win—and the contrast from when we won seven in a row to now struggling for victories, I informed Javi Lara that I am leaving my future in the hands of the club, the sporting director, and the president to make the decision they see fit.”

    Jémez Takes Responsibility for Defeats

Jémez also took responsibility for the poor form: “My decision and self-respect tell me that if the team has changed so much in the last four or five weeks—from an exceptional team that won seven straight to one that has only managed two draws in five games—I must accept that the fault lies with me, and perhaps I am the one who has ruined everything.”

Despite these setbacks, Jémez spoke of the possibility of turning things around: “It’s always possible to change things. We were in bad shape before, then we won seven games, and now things have gotten worse. Maybe we can improve again. Trust, as they say, is the last thing to be lost.”

Regarding this Saturday’s defeat against Marbella, he made no excuses: “We lost because we were extremely weak in defense. We made mistakes unworthy of a team, especially after taking the lead.”
