Strange Transformation of Former Chelsea Star (Photo)
The difference in David Luiz’s appearance compared to his time in the English Premier League has surprised many.
According to reports, David Luiz, who played for Chelsea between 2011 and 2019 in two separate stints, won the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, two FA Cups, and two Europa League titles with the London club, leaving behind a brilliant record.
He joined Flamengo in 2021 and returned to Brazilian football earlier this year after moving to Fortaleza, where he now plays. This player, who also spent two seasons at Arsenal, was famous for his long Afro hairstyle during his time in English football, but those days are now history.
During Fortaleza’s 2-1 defeat to Palmeiras on Sunday, images showed his hair had become significantly shorter, with noticeable thinning on top. Luiz turns 38 on Tuesday, and fans on social media reacted with jokes and surprise after seeing his new look, writing that age has finally caught up with him.
One fan wrote in disbelief: “Is this real??”
Another fan emotionally reacted with a broken heart emoji: “No one is safe…”
A user on X, seeing Luiz’s current appearance, stated: “Football is officially over.”
Another fan simply asked: “How is this possible?”
Luiz, who has 57 caps for Brazil, continues to play regularly for Fortaleza and has appeared in all five of the team’s league matches this season.
