Jamal Musiala: This Bayern Can Win the Champions League
Jamal Musiala, Bayern Munich forward, believes the team has the quality to win the Champions League with its star-studded squad.
Bayern Munich was eliminated in the Champions League quarterfinals against Inter Milan, missing key players including Jamal Musiala.
Musiala admitted it was difficult to watch his team lose but is determined to return in time for the Club World Cup.
On watching Bayern’s elimination, he said:“It was painful to watch the team lose helplessly on TV. I suffered with the boys; despite many absences, we fought hard and deserved better.”
Bayern exited the competition with Musiala sidelined due to a muscle injury since April 5, 2025. On his recovery, he said:“I’ve worked hard since day one, and everything has gone according to plan. I have a big goal: the Club World Cup. It’s prestigious, brings revenue, and is a new international title. We want to win it, and I aim to return in the U.S.”
The Club World Cup is set for summer 2025 in the U.S., and Musiala hopes to be fully fit. The 22-year-old midfielder added on Bayern’s Champions League chances:“Our team has a bright future. We have many great players; whether against Real Madrid last year or Inter now, we were just missing small details. I’m sure this team has the potential to win the Champions League.”
