End of Zaragoza’s Dream
Bayern Munich’s Worst Signing Set for Summer Exit!
Bayern Munich no longer counts on Bryan Zaragoza and plans to offload him in the summer transfer window.
According to reports, Bryan Zaragoza’s future at Bayern Munich has grown increasingly uncertain. He is undoubtedly one of the worst signings in the club’s history. A few months ago, it seemed Bayern would give him another chance after his loan spell at Osasuna. However, as per Sport Bild, the situation has completely changed.
Bayern has decided to offload the Spanish winger and other recent unsuccessful signings, such as Sacha Boey, in the summer. These players, signed before Max Eberl’s arrival as the new sporting director, no longer feature in the club’s future plans.
Earlier this year, the situation appeared different. In February, reports from Germany suggested Bayern, the six-time European champions, intended to retain Zaragoza after his loan at Osasuna. At the time, there was hope the young forward could prove himself after a difficult start in Munich, where he made only seven appearances in the second half of the 2023/24 season. His decent performances in La Liga with Osasuna—one goal and five assists in 18 games—had raised expectations.
Despite the speculation, Zaragoza has remained cautious. He recently told DAZN: “I have a contract with Bayern until 2029. I don’t know what will happen yet; my focus is on finishing the season well with Osasuna.”
He added that he would prefer to stay in Spain but is prepared to return to Germany if needed. However, Osasuna’s sporting director, Braulio Vázquez, explicitly stated, “There is no chance Zaragoza will stay at Osasuna.” Thus, it seems Zaragoza’s immediate future lies neither at El Sadar nor the Allianz Arena.
