The 31-Year-Old Star Who Still Doesn’t Have a Team
Didier Deschamps’ Message to Pogba: Be Wise and Return to the National Team!
Didier Deschamps gave Paul Pogba the green light, saying he could even return to the France national team.
According to reports, Paul Pogba, who returned to football after serving a long-term doping ban but has yet to find a team, received encouraging news today. The France national team coach believes Pogba’s football career is far from over and that he could even return to the national team.
Didier Deschamps, speaking to TF1, said: “I have a close relationship with Pogba. Don’t forget the brilliant moments we shared and the honors we achieved together. His football career isn’t over, and if Paul works hard and makes the right decisions, he can even play for the national team again.” Deschamps was referring to the 2018 World Cup victory, where Pogba played a key role.
The 31-year-old Pogba was initially banned for four years after testing positive for doping, but the suspension was later reduced to 18 months. Since March 11, when his ban ended, he has expressed his desire to return but has yet to find a club and is currently training individually.
Reports suggest Pogba will join a Saudi Arabian or American club in the upcoming summer.
