Real Madrid’s Behavior Is Also Shameful
Barcelona Should Be Relegated to the Third Division!
Gonzalo Miró, a regular commentator for Radio Marca, shared his views on the recent refereeing controversies affecting Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spanish football.
According to reports, he told Juanma Castaño, the program host, about Barcelona and the Negreira case: “To avoid accusations of bias, I must say that I am among those who believe that, based on the information revealed so far about the Negreira case, there is enough evidence to relegate Barcelona to the third division. I am not biased in this matter.”
These remarks refer to the case in which Barcelona is accused of paying €7.4 million to Enrique Negreira, former vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees.
Gonzalo Miró and Real Madrid’s Pressure on Referees
Miró focused on the pressure Real Madrid, particularly through Real Madrid TV, exerts on referees. This pressure peaked after the press conference of the referee for the Copa del Rey final.
Miró explained: “In my opinion, what Real Madrid does to referees is shameful and serves multiple purposes. First, to pressure referees. Second, to justify their defeats. Third, to undermine La Liga’s credibility in pursuit of their European Super League project.”
Regarding the goal of this refereeing pressure, he added: “I feel Real Madrid wants its fans to believe this league has no value and that everything is pre-planned for Barcelona’s success. They want to create the impression that without referees, Real Madrid would have achieved much more.”
