The French star was shown a straight red card after a reckless tackle, leaving his team with 10 men for over 50 minutes.

The incident occurred when Mbappe lunged into a late challenge, landing on Blanco’s shin. Referee Cesar Soto Grado initially showed a yellow card but upgraded it to red after VAR review.

Mbappe, who has scored 22 goals this season, not only missed this match but could face further suspension. Real Madrid, already under pressure after a 3-0 loss to Arsenal in the Champions League, must now resist a tough Alaves defense without their top scorer.
