Brazilian Outrage: Real Madrid to Blame for Ancelotti’s Absence
Brazilian media claims Real Madrid is responsible for the breakdown of the agreement with Carlo Ancelotti.
According to reports, Brazilian media were almost certain of Ancelotti’s appointment as the head coach of their national team, even speaking of a finalized agreement and awaiting a grand unveiling ceremony in Brazil.
However, these dreams evaporated. Brazilian media, after the collapse of the deal, sought the culprit and pointed fingers at Real Madrid. Reports from Rio de Janeiro claim that the Spanish club refused to pay Ancelotti’s early contract termination compensation.
The compensation, reportedly around €4 million, was deemed unjustifiable by Real Madrid, as it was Ancelotti who decided to join the Brazilian national team, not the club that sought to dismiss him.
Additionally, Brazilian media highlighted another key factor in the deal’s collapse: Ancelotti’s reluctance to live in Brazil due to security concerns.
It appears the Italian coach has not forgotten the burglary at his London home during his time there, making life in Brazil unacceptable. This point undoubtedly displeased Brazilian football federation officials.
