Strange Incident: Al-Hilal Had Not Planned for Return Flight!

According to “Varzesh3,” Al-Hilal lost the AFC Champions League (Elite League) semifinal match against Al-Ahli last night with a score of 3-1. A bitter defeat that apparently was not part of the team’s plans, as they had to urgently arrange a flight to return to the capital this morning.

Based on information provided by an informed source to the newspaper “Al-Riyadiah,” Al-Hilal Club was forced to make emergency travel arrangements for their football team from Jeddah to Riyadh after being eliminated from the AFC Champions League semifinals by Al-Ahli.

The source stated that elimination from the competition was not anticipated in the club’s planning, necessitating last-minute arrangements for the team’s return. Accordingly, a private flight departed from Jeddah to Riyadh at 4:30 AM on Wednesday, transporting Al-Hilal’s delegation.

The source also mentioned dissatisfaction among Al-Hilal players regarding the tactical decisions of their Portuguese coach, Jorge Jesus, particularly his defensive approach in this match. The decision to play Ali Al-Bulaihi instead of Hassan Tambakti, as well as some substitutions, was not fully accepted by the players.

It is said that the tactics employed during the match differed significantly from pre-match training plans, negatively affecting the team’s performance and ultimately leading to their elimination from the Asian competition.
