Al-Nassr Lineup Announced: Ronaldo Eyes First Asian Final
Al-Nassr football team, featuring its star players, aims to reach the AFC Champions League final.
In the second leg of the AFC Champions League semifinals, Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia will face Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale in a crucial match in Jeddah. This game is not only pivotal for advancing to the final but also represents a historic opportunity for Al-Nassr to take a significant step toward their first Asian title.
Stefano Pioli, the Italian coach of Al-Nassr, has selected a balanced lineup considering available players. However, the absence of key figures like Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte makes the match more challenging for Al-Nassr.
In goal, Bento Krepski, the Brazilian national team goalkeeper, will guard Al-Nassr’s net. He has been in excellent form recently and hopes to play a crucial role in securing the team’s place in the final.
Al-Nassr’s defense will feature Ali Lajami replacing Laporte, partnering with French newcomer Mohammed Simakan. On the right, Sultan Al-Ghannam, the experienced Saudi defender, will play, while Nawaf Boushal, a speedy and technical player, takes the left flank.
In midfield, Pioli has trusted a duo of Ali Al-Hassan and Marcelo Brozović. Brozović, Al-Nassr’s Croatian midfield star, will play a key role in controlling the game and distributing the ball.
On the wings, Pioli will utilize his impactful foreign players. Otávio Monteiro, Al-Nassr’s Portuguese player, will play in an unconventional role as a right winger, while Sadio Mané, the experienced Senegalese star, will be tasked with creating chances and penetrating Kawasaki’s defense.
Al-Nassr’s attack will feature Colombian striker Jhon Durán and Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo. These two players, with their complementary styles, pose a serious threat to the opponent’s defense.
If Al-Nassr wins this match, they will advance to the AFC Champions League final, where they will face Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia. This will be the first all-Saudi final in the history of the AFC Champions League and undoubtedly the most exciting moment of the continental football season.
