The 24-year-old Norwegian striker suffered the injury during the 2-1 victory over Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarter-finals on March 30.

Haaland had been training individually during his recovery but rejoined the first-team group on Wednesday. He has scored 39 goals for club and country this season. While his exact return date remains unclear, Pep Guardiola is expected to provide an update in his pre-match press conference ahead of Friday’s Premier League clash against Wolves.

Meanwhile, Rodri, the 28-year-old midfielder who has been sidelined since September with a serious knee injury, has also returned to training. The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner has not played since suffering an ACL tear.

    Rodri training

Pep Guardiola said last week: “Every training session Rodri has with us, he works well. Rodri wants to play, but it’s the doctor who has to say, ‘Pep, you can give him minutes to play.'”

Regarding Haaland, Guardiola added: “Erling is close to returning. He will be back very soon. We are waiting for him to finish the season with us.”

Manchester City currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, having conceded the title to Liverpool after four consecutive championships. They host Wolves on Friday and will face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on May 17.
