According to reports, Barcelona and Inter Milan played one of the most thrilling matches of the season in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals. While the Blaugrana were caught off guard by Inter’s two early goals, they made a remarkable comeback and ended the match with a 3-3 draw.

Hans-Dieter Flick, Barcelona’s coach, did not hide his disappointment with the conceded goals in a post-match interview with Movistar, but praised his team’s reaction: “We didn’t start well, conceded two goals, but then we came back and played very well in the second half. It was a beautiful game for the fans. This was only the first of two matches. We have to win in Milan. This game was a final before the actual final.”

Despite conceding three goals, Flick acknowledged Inter’s quality: “We’re talking about the UEFA Champions League semifinals, where big teams compete. Inter has experience, excelled in set-pieces, played well, and took advantage of their opportunities.”

Flick also highlighted the outstanding performance of Lamine Yamal, who scored, provided an assist, and played a key role in the third goal: “Lamine showed his quality tonight. He opened the game for us. That first goal was very important. We have to fight until the last moment.”

Regarding Jules Koundé’s injury, Flick said: “We have to wait until tomorrow, but it’s likely a hamstring injury. He might miss the return leg in Milan as well as the El Clásico on May 11.”
