Featuring Travis Scott’s Logo
Barcelona to Unveil Special El Clásico Jersey
Tomorrow, Barcelona will unveil their special El Clásico jersey featuring the logo of renowned artist Travis Scott.
According to reports, FC Barcelona will once again replace the usual Spotify logo on their jersey with the name of an international artist for El Clásico, this time featuring American rapper Travis Scott. As reported by ‘Cadena COPE,’ the special edition jersey will go on sale this Friday, May 2, ahead of the upcoming El Clásico against Real Madrid on Sunday. The jersey will be available for purchase immediately after its unveiling through the club’s official stores.
Travis Scott will be the sixth artist to have his name featured on Barcelona’s jersey as part of the club’s collaboration with Spotify. Previously, Drake, Rosalía, The Rolling Stones, Cardi B, and Coldplay have participated in this initiative. Scott, now 33, is considered one of the most influential rappers globally, and his media presence aligns well with Barcelona’s high-profile branding strategy.
Travis Scott’s music is often heard in Barcelona’s locker room. For instance, Lamine Yamal, who has a keen interest in music and a diverse Spotify playlist, is a fan of Scott. In some pre-match warm-ups, he has been seen dancing to Scott’s hit song ‘Fein.’
Travis Scott has strong ties to the sports world, particularly with the NBA and a good relationship with LeBron James. He has also collaborated with brands like Nike and Jordan, whose sneakers have gained immense popularity in urban culture. Additionally, in the sports world, Scott performed during the Super Bowl halftime show in 2019 alongside Maroon 5 and Big Boi, solidifying his status as a global entertainment icon.
