Comfortable Win in Sweden: Chelsea One Step Closer to Conference League Final!
Chelsea secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Djurgarden in the first leg of the Conference League semi-finals.
Chelsea enjoyed a sweet night in Sweden, moving closer to the Conference League final with a high-scoring win. They led 2-0 in the first half with goals from Jadon Sancho and Nonny Madueke, while Nicolas Jackson added a brace in the second half. However, Isaac Mulegeta pulled one back for the hosts, denying Chelsea a clean sheet.

The early minutes were controlled by the Swedish side, but Chelsea opened the scoring in their first serious attack. Enzo Fernandez delivered a pass to Jadon Sancho, who netted the first goal for Enzo Marcesca’s team.
Around five minutes later, Mark Kukurija had a chance to double the lead, but his volley went over the bar. In the 32nd minute, Madueke could have scored from Reece James’ pass, but his one-on-one effort was saved. However, the player made amends before halftime, converting Enzo Fernandez’s excellent pass in the 43rd minute for the second goal.
At the start of the second half, Priske had a great opportunity but fired wide from the edge of the box. Moments later, Stahl threatened Chelsea’s goal with a header, but Jorgensen reacted well.
Against the run of play, Chelsea extended their lead. In the 59th minute, Nicolas Jackson made it 3-0 after a pass from Cole Palmer, crushing the Swedish side’s hopes. Jackson scored again six minutes later, showing he had returned to form after an injury. Three minutes after Jackson’s second, Djurgarden responded through Mulegeta, who headed past Jorgensen to deny Chelsea a clean sheet.
In the final 20 minutes, both teams played evenly, with few serious chances. Chelsea, having achieved their objective, managed the game and secured a valuable 4-1 win, taking a big step toward the final.
In the 12th minute, Enzo Fernandez delivered a beautiful pass into the box from the right, allowing Sancho to control and score Chelsea’s opener.
In the 43rd minute, after a team move, Enzo Fernandez sent a short pass to Madueke inside the box, who fired home from the left to make it 2-0.
In the 59th minute, Palmer intercepted the ball in midfield and played a forward pass to Jackson, who capitalized on a defensive error to score Chelsea’s third.
Six minutes after his first goal, Jackson received the ball again and curled a beautiful shot into the corner for Chelsea’s fourth.
In the 68th minute, Guliksen found space on the left and crossed to Mulegeta, who headed home to pull one back for Djurgarden.
