Top Scorer of French Youth League Joins Pep’s Squad
Manchester City Snatches PSG’s 18-Year-Old Prodigy
Manchester City has secured the services of one of Paris Saint-Germain’s brightest young talents, 18-year-old Mohamedou Sangare.
According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain has several young stars in its academy and youth teams who have attracted attention from other European clubs. Among these prodigies, Mohamedou Sangare has been the most sought-after. The 18-year-old star has now been signed by Manchester City.
Sangare’s contract with PSG was set to expire in June. Despite PSG’s efforts to renew his contract, Manchester City reportedly promised the young forward immediate first-team opportunities and global recognition. As a result, Sangare turned down PSG’s offers and informed City of his decision to join them upon the expiration of his contract.
The player, who has represented France at youth levels, recently reached a definitive agreement with City. The English club had been monitoring Sangare since his time at Racing Club de France. However, City preferred to wait and observe his progress. After Sangare joined PSG in the summer of 2023, City’s scouts concluded that the young forward would become one of the most prominent rising stars in world football.
Last season, Sangare excelled in the French Youth League, becoming the top scorer with 32 goals and 2 assists. In the current season, after 11 matchdays, he has already scored 8 goals and provided 2 assists. French media have also reported interest from other top clubs such as Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid.
