Celebration Postponed to Next Week, Maybe Tomorrow Night
The Curse is Real: The Trophy Escapes Harry Kane Again!
Harry Kane stood on the sidelines, ready to run onto the pitch to celebrate a title, but RB Leipzig’s last-second goal shattered his hopes.
According to reports, Harry Kane hoped to break his long-standing curse tonight and experience celebrating a title for the first time. But once again, it didn’t happen. It seems his curse is real, and trophies mysteriously slip away from this English star.
Harry Kane couldn’t play for Bayern Munich due to suspension. From the start of Bayern’s match against RB Leipzig, cameras captured him sitting nervously in the stands. Bayern needed a win to secure the Bundesliga title with two weeks remaining.
Bayern led 2-0 in the first half, easing Kane’s tension. But his teammates staged a dream comeback in the second half, with goals from Dayot Upamecano, Kingsley Coman, and Leroy Sané putting them ahead 3-2. By the 90th minute, Kane was no longer in the stands—he was smiling on the sidelines.
Kane was so eager to celebrate his first-ever football trophy that he violated Bundesliga rules by coming to the sidelines. Suspended players are strictly prohibited from being near the pitch.
He was so happy that he accepted the fine and stood by Bayern’s bench, anxiously waiting for the final whistle to run onto the pitch in celebration.
But fate had other plans. In the 95th minute, Yussuf Poulsen equalized for RB Leipzig, delaying Bayern’s title celebrations to next week. Kane, who will be eligible to play next week, can still celebrate if Bayern secures at least a draw.
However, Kane might celebrate sooner—if Bayer Leverkusen fails to beat Freiburg tomorrow night, Bayern’s title will be confirmed. Kane can celebrate with his teammates, with the official ceremony taking place next week at the Allianz Arena.
