Strange Incident in Portuguese Football
During today’s match between Braga and Santa Clara in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, Carlos Carvalhal, the head coach of the home team, suffered an injury.
According to reports, Carlos Carvalhal, the head coach of Braga, suffered a right shoulder injury during the match against Santa Clara in the 32nd week of the Portuguese Primeira Liga. The incident occurred in the 84th minute when Santa Clara defender Matheus Pereira collided with Niakaté, a Braga player, and unintentionally hit Carvalhal, who was standing on the sidelines. As a result, Carvalhal fell and injured his shoulder.
Despite the injury, Carvalhal remained on the bench with medical assistance until the end of the match. However, after the final whistle, he was transferred to Braga Hospital for further medical examinations. Consequently, he was unable to participate in post-match interviews, including flash interviews and the press conference.
In his absence, his assistant João Mário attended the press conference. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with both teams sharing the points.
No new updates have been released regarding the severity of his shoulder injury. However, if the injury is serious, João Mário will take charge of the team in upcoming matches until Carvalhal recovers.
