Rebel Turkey: Mourinho was always a terrible coach!

According to reports, Elvir Baljić, the Bosnian star who played for Fenerbahçe and big clubs like Real Madrid, launched an unprecedented and harsh attack on José Mourinho today. He called the ‘Special One’ a person who was never a good coach from the beginning and has destroyed Fenerbahçe, which could have easily won the Turkish league by a margin this past season.

Baljić directed his criticism at Mourinho’s selfishness, saying that when his team loses due to wrong tactics and outdated strategies, Mourinho creates drama and tries to divert attention from himself. Baljić urged Fenerbahçe’s management to fire José as soon as the season ends.

The Bosnian striker said in an interview with ATV: “I say José Mourinho is not a good coach at all. He was never a good coach. To be honest, Mourinho is a terrible coach, and now he’s making fools of all of us. Did you see the Beşiktaş match? I watched it very carefully. Even before the game, his starting lineup surprised me. Does this man understand anything about football? With these outdated tactics and that terrible lineup, of course, the team loses. Mourinho has destroyed this team with his selfishness, arrogance, and wrong tactics. I’m sorry, but I can’t keep quiet. What he has done to Fenerbahçe in this one season is ridiculous. I beg Fenerbahçe’s management not to hesitate for a second and fire him as soon as the season ends. I have no respect left for him.”

    Elvir Baljić

Elvir Baljić began his football career in Bosnia and joined Fenerbahçe in the summer of 1998. He also obtained Turkish citizenship and moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 1999. A year later, he returned to Fenerbahçe on loan. He played another season for Real and was loaned out again, this time to Rayo Vallecano. After this loan spell, Baljić, whose contract with Real had ended, joined Galatasaray, becoming one of the rebels of Turkish football.
