Sané Must Make a Decision
Bayern Gives Disgruntled Star 10 Days to Decide
Bayern Munich has given Leroy Sané 10 days to decide whether he will extend his contract or leave the club in the summer.
According to reports, Sané must either accept Bayern’s current contract offer or leave as a free agent in the summer.
Contract extension talks for Leroy Sané have unexpectedly stalled after the winger changed agents. Reports from TZ Munich and Bild indicate that the German international was close to finalizing his stay at the Bavarian club, but after the recent Leipzig match (3-3), he informed club officials that Pini Zahavi, an experienced agent, would now represent him.
Zahavi was once described by Uli Hoeneß, the club’s honorary president, as a “greedy piranha.” This change has halted negotiations and raised doubts within the Allianz Arena offices.
In response, Bayern has taken a firm stance. According to Bild, the club has given Sané a maximum of 10 days to decide whether he will accept the contract extension offer or leave when his current deal expires this summer. The offer includes a three-year contract with a fixed salary of €10 million per season, plus €5 million in performance-based bonuses.
The six-time European champions have made it clear that there will be no improvements to this offer, and no signing bonus will be included—something Zahavi may push for in negotiations.
