Ronaldo’s Anger at Teammates: ‘You All Fell Asleep!’ (Photo)
Cristiano Ronaldo accused his teammates of falling asleep on the pitch after Al-Ittihad scored their third goal!
The most crucial match of the 30th round of the Saudi Pro League ended dramatically with Al-Ittihad defeating Al-Nassr 3-2 at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, causing Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates to drop to fourth place in the table after Al-Ahli’s victory.
While the first half ended with a 2-0 lead for Stefano Pioli’s team, Karim Benzema and his teammates put on an incredible performance in the second half. Benzema scored in the 49th minute, followed by N’Golo Kanté in the 52nd minute, equalizing the game quickly.
After this goal, the game remained under the control of Laurent Blanc’s team as they sought to score the winning goal to increase their point difference with Al-Hilal.
During this period, Ronaldo managed to threaten Al-Ittihad’s goal with one or two not-so-great passes from Al-Nassr players, and eventually, the game went into extra time.
Where N’Golo Kanté’s brilliant cross from the right side of the pitch, combined with an excellent run by Hossam Aouar and his finishing touch in front of Al-Nassr’s goal, turned into the winning goal for Al-Ittihad, causing the Portuguese captain to lose his temper once again and harshly criticize his team’s defensive line.
The interesting point about Ronaldo’s anger tonight goes back to the 75th minute. Where he started criticizing the performance of his team’s defensive line in the center of the pitch and muttered angrily about their performance.
He then turned towards his teammates in the center circle and, by putting both hands under his head, accused them of falling asleep when Al-Ittihad’s attackers scored.
This incident had happened before the start of the season in the Saudi Super Cup match. Where Al-Nassr was humiliated with a heavy 4-0 defeat against Al-Hilal, and Ronaldo had similarly mocked and criticized his defenders after Al-Hilal’s fourth goal in that match.
