Roy Keane’s Jibe at Beckham: Why Didn’t You Invite Us!
Roy Keane, the former Manchester United star, reacted to not being invited to David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration.
Six days after David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration, Roy Keane, his former teammate at Manchester United, claimed that the current owner of Inter Miami had forgotten to invite him to the party.
Beckham turned 50 last Friday and celebrated the occasion with a lavish party at a restaurant in central London, where the closest friends and family of the English football legend accompanied him. Interestingly, Eva Longoria, Tom Cruise, and Gordon Ramsay were among the guests present at the event.
Among them, Gary Neville was the only former Manchester United player who attended the event. This was enough for Roy Keane to react to his absence and say in a joint TV program with Neville about not being invited to Beckham’s party: “Has he forgotten all his former teammates? Were we not good enough? You know what I mean…”
These words were immediately met with Neville’s response: “That’s why you didn’t invite us to your 50th birthday.”
Roy Keane replied: “You know my 50th was in Altrincham. I didn’t want you there.”
It is worth mentioning that Beckham, in addition to organizing this party, celebrated his 50th birthday with a family gathering at his £10 million mansion in Cotswolds, a formal party in Miami, and a trip to France.
His children, Romeo (22), Cruz (20), and Harper (13), were present at all three celebrations, as was his wife, Victoria (51). However, Brooklyn, Beckham’s eldest son, was absent amid rumors of a family dispute.
