Florian Wirtz Prefers Bayern Munich Over Real Madrid
The Bayer Leverkusen star is highly likely to join Bayern Munich and has decided to reject Real Madrid’s offer.
According to reports, Florian Wirtz, the 22-year-old midfielder, was one of Real Madrid’s targets for the next season. It seems he will leave Bayer Leverkusen, but not to change leagues, and unless something unexpected happens, he will join Bayern Munich.
Based on a report by “TZ” republished by AS, a preliminary agreement has been reached between Wirtz and Bayern Munich. It is said that two pre-contracts have been prepared: one for the upcoming summer transfer window and another for 2026.
According to the report, Hans, Wirtz’s father and agent, has informed Real Madrid that it is still too early for his son to move abroad and that at 22, it is better for him to continue his football career in Germany. However, the existence of two different contracts is because the second contract, starting in 2026, will include easier terms for a potential transfer outside the Bundesliga.
