Fans, Enjoy the Victory
Yamal: We Could Have Scored More Goals Against Real Madrid
Lamine Yamal, shortly after Barcelona’s 4-3 victory in El Clasico, stated that he and his teammates could have scored more goals against Real Madrid.
According to reports, Barcelona, led by their star Lamine Yamal, achieved a remarkable comeback in El Clasico. Despite trailing by two goals due to a brace from Kylian Mbappé, they turned the game around and ultimately won 4-3.
Yamal, who repeatedly troubled Real Madrid’s defense and scored one of his team’s goals, praised the team’s performance under coach Hansi Flick. He stated that Barcelona deserved a bigger victory and could have scored more goals.
Yamal said in his interview: “It was a very important match. We have now extended our lead to seven points, which is crucial. After the Champions League defeat, it was essential to make the fans forget that game—and we did just that. Now, enjoy the victory.”
The young Barcelona star added: “The goal we conceded late in the game wasn’t ideal. We need to correct these mistakes. They didn’t create many clear-cut chances, but for now, let’s enjoy this moment. I’m very, very happy.”
Yamal continued: “This victory is very special, especially for the fans. We couldn’t play at Camp Nou this year, but the fans were always with us here. I am truly grateful and indebted to these supporters.”
When asked about the Champions League loss to Inter and missing out on the title, he replied: “The Champions League happens every year. We will keep trying until we finally win it. Today, winning was important to get closer to the league title.”
